POSITION OVERVIEW
HER Campaign is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and mission-aligned Clinical Director to oversee the behavioral health and psychosocial care components of our emergency stabilization and aftercare programs. The Clinical Director will lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the highest standards of trauma-informed, survivor-centered care.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned clinician and collaborative leader who can maintain compliance with licensing and accreditation standards while fostering a healing, safe, and structured environment for residents and staff. Experience with trauma, addiction, crisis intervention, and therapeutic modalities is essential. A strong background in team leadership, clinical supervision, and case management is required.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Leadership & Program Oversight:
- Lead the clinical direction of HER Campaign programs across emergency stabilization and aftercare services.
- Supervise and support mental health professionals, case managers, and peer staff.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans.
- Provide regular clinical supervision, case consultation, and training.
Resident Care & Treatment:
- Oversee clinical assessments, safety planning, and therapeutic interventions.
- Ensure services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and survivor-centered.
- Manage complex cases involving co-occurring disorders, substance use, or legal system involvement.
- Support reintegration planning, referrals, and discharge transitions.
Staff Management & Development:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management for the clinical team.
- Ensure compliance with licensure, credentialing, and continuing education requirements.
- Foster a healthy work culture aligned with HER Campaign values.
Policy Development & Compliance:
- Develop and update clinical policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, HIPAA, and agency licensure.
- Coordinate with the Chief Medical Officer to ensure holistic care planning.
Collaboration & Community Partnerships:
- Collaborate with shelter staff, medical providers, and community partners for coordinated care.
- Represent HER Campaign in professional forums, trainings, and stakeholder meetings.
- Build partnerships with mental health providers and referral networks.
Quality Assurance & Risk Management:
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and clinical outcomes.
- Conduct internal audits, client satisfaction reviews, and incident debriefs.
- Implement strategies to reduce risk and ensure resident safety and wellbeing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Credentials:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required.
- Must hold an active Colorado license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
- Clinical supervision credentials preferred (e.g., LCSW with supervisory designation).
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in trauma, crisis response, addiction, or survivor advocacy settings.
- Experience with residential care or shelter-based environments strongly preferred.
Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, mental health diagnostics, and therapeutic modalities.
- Demonstrated skill in clinical supervision, case review, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to lead during crises with calm, integrity, and clinical wisdom.
- Skilled in documentation, compliance, and ethical decision-making.
STATE OF COLORADO REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent required.
- Meet qualifications for Clinical Director as outlined in 2 CCR 502-1.
- Minimum of 3 years of verified experience in the human services field, including at least one year in a supervisory or administrative role.
